Terms governing the use of DocuHub's AI-powered features.
Transparency First
We believe in being transparent about how our AI features work. Your documents are processed securely and are never used to train or improve our AI models.
1. AI Features Covered
These terms apply to DocuHub features powered by artificial intelligence, including but not limited to PDF Summarizer, Translate PDF, Chat with PDF, and AI Spellcheck.
2. How AI Features Work
Third-Party AI Services: Our AI features use third-party AI services, including OpenAI and Google Gemini (for text analysis and generation). When you use AI features, your document content may be sent to these services for processing.
Data Handling:
• No Training: Your files are NOT used to train AI models.
• Temporary Processing: Content is processed in real-time and not retained by AI providers beyond the immediate request.

3. Limitations and Disclaimers
Accuracy: AI-generated outputs are provided "AS IS" without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
User Responsibility: You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content. Do not rely solely on AI outputs for critical decisions.

4. Sensitive Information Warning
Do NOT submit the following to AI features:
• Confidential business information

• Financial account details
• Government-issued ID information

5. Changes to AI Features
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue AI features at any time without notice. We are not liable for any changes to AI feature availability or functionality.
By using AI features, you also acknowledge the terms of our AI providers (OpenAI, Google).
EU AI Act transparency disclosure
In compliance with Article 50 and Article 52 of EU Regulation 2024/1689 (the “AI Act”), we disclose the following:
- You are interacting with AI. The Chat, Generate, Summarize, Redact, Compare, and Extract features on DocuHub use generative artificial intelligence to produce their outputs.
- Models in use. Our AI features are powered by Google Gemini (gemini-2.5-flash) and, in some workflows, Anthropic Claude. We may change models over time; the current model is reflected in the
provenancefield on every AI response. - Outputs are AI-generated and may contain errors. Do not rely on AI outputs for legal, medical, or financial decisions without independent professional verification. AI-generated content displayed in the product is labelled with a sparkle (✨) badge.
- No automated decision-making with legal effects.DocuHub does not use AI to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you (GDPR Art. 22). Outputs are advisory and require user action to be applied.
- No high-risk AI use cases. DocuHub's AI features are not deployed in any of the high-risk categories listed in Annex III of the AI Act (e.g. recruitment scoring, biometric identification, critical infrastructure, law enforcement).
- Your data and AI training. Documents and prompts you submit to AI features are not used to train Google's or Anthropic's foundation models. See our Data Processing Agreement for details.
- Right to human review. If you believe an AI output has materially harmed you, contact privacy@docuhub.live to request human review and correction.
