Frequently Asked Questions

Does it handle scanned documents?

Each page is checked individually. Native text pages are extracted directly, while scanned pages run through OCR at 300 DPI. You can mix both types in a single file.

Can I extract text from just a few pages?

Mention the page numbers in your prompt — for example, "extract text from pages 4-8" — and only those pages are processed. This also speeds things up for large documents.

Which languages does the OCR recognize?

Over 100 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Mixed-language documents are detected automatically.

What happens to tables?

Cell content comes out as tab-separated text. If you need the table grid preserved, use the Excel conversion tool instead.

Is the paragraph structure kept?

Paragraphs and line breaks are preserved in the output. Fonts, colors, and styling are stripped — you get clean plain text ready to paste anywhere.

Are there per-page charges?

No per-page or per-file charges. The maximum upload size is 100 MB — roughly 10,000 pages of standard text content.
